The need to help others that are not in the USA is a need that needs to be more frequent
Bill de Blasio, New York City Mayor
Hello, I just finished listening to The Vaccine Inequity Pandemic podcast on the Latino USA website on September 5th 2021 at 3:49. The podcast was very well informative and gave us, the listeners, a perspective into some lives outside of the USA, more in South America and Central America. The podcast talked about how other states who don't have access to the vaccine are willing to take the vaccine and how this Corona virus is taking away so many lives that had so much left to do in their life. This podcast also talked about how Bill de Blasio, the mayor of New York City, sent out an announcement to "come here it's safe, it's a great place to be and we are going to take care of you, we are going to make sure you get vaccinated while you are here with us." This was said in the podcast between 9:00 and 9:15 and it shows that some people in the USA are willing to help others that are outside of the USA which is swell to hear and read.
I loved this podcast that I listened to because it just warms my heart to hear that other people especially those with higher power are willing to help others that are not in their own continent. We all live on this earth and we all need to have each other's back when things get tough and rigth now we all need each other to get back to happy days. What I didn't like about this podcast is that I was hearing the fears of some latins that were scared to come here because they didn't have the right application or something to get a vaccine which is just seriously messed up to hear and sad to realize that some people can't get things just because of one simple thing. Also it broke my heart to hear all the separation that have happened to people's families, which is huge in latin america, like how this one woman was relieved to get the vaccine because she "been scared to see my grandparents which I'm really close to, or seeing my mom, or seeing my mother-in-law of being scared to getting them sick." This was said in between the times of 7:40 and 8:10, I feel like the podcast should talk more about how others, maybe not those in power, have helped the less fortunate in other continents and maybe talk more about how other people with power are trying to help those who need help.
This video is a news reporter talking about the march for vaccines when the organization EEF, or Economic Freedom Fighters,is demanding that vaccines from China and Russia should be allowed and included for whenever the country does a full on release of vaccines. Following this video I found a article on this topic that I am blogging about which is called Vaccine inequity: Inside the cutthroat race to secure doses by Lori Hinnant, Maria Cheng, and Aniruddha Ghosal which goes into depth about how the rich and the poor countries have a large gap on how many people are getting vaccines. This should not be the case because that is common sense on how we need to fight together as one to stop this virus not have one far ahead of the attack while the other is far behind dying. Generosity is needed from everybody in order to stop this virus from spreading and we need generosity to help the families in need and to help the poor countries in need, we need all the help we can get from everybody because, as the article says almost near the end "If it is all going to rely on the generosity of rich countries, a lot of people are going to die" (HINNANT). This is so scary to read but real to understand we need everyone to chip in on helping out, we need to spread this technology we have of curing this vaccine and be able to give it to everybody we need technology to rapidize the making of these vaccines and to be able to ship them out everywhere, we need all the scientists, and doctors to work together and find out how to make more cures and to check if everything is all right for a vaccine, we need to get these vacines out to everyone especially those in South America who just want to spend time with their loved one, which is huge to them.
We all know this crisis has a end point and we all want to get to that said end point but in order to get to it we need to set aside our differences and be open to accept others and their ideas. We need to share this technology we have to others and we need to see the art of living with one another. As peter says near the end of the podcast in the times between 30:45 and 31:15 "we've all been scared about our life here in home and very focused on our lives in the United States, but we have to think more broadly now and we have to ask our government to think more broadly about that now, and not be afraid to use its power...but we have much more power than we are using." We need to help one another we need to let these people get back to there loved ones and to live their life, we need to have each other's back because in the end we are stronger together, not seperated and fighting one another. These are my thoughts on the podcast The Vaccine Inequity Pandemic on the Latino USA, thanks for reading have a good day.

T:I liked the video you included about the march. It really gave me an inside look on how much the vaccine means to south Africans. A:What changes do you think need to be made in order for more people around the world having access to Covid 19 vaccines. G:I would like to suggest breaking the 3rd paragraph into two paragraphs.
Hi, T: I completely agree with you that when facing adversity such as the virus the most important thing is that we help one another and show empathy. A: Hypothetically if the whole world worked together, how fast do you think we could end the pandemic? G: I would just suggest reading over it before turning it in next time, I saw a few small spelling and grammar errors.
